- You agree to any charges - returns due to customer error are subject to a 20% restocking charge, plus transit costs to our warehouse in Holland and customs administration fees, a minimum of £50. This will be confirmed by email prior to collection.

The first step is to calculate your pool volume in m3. We also recommend factoring in an additional 10% to give you some leeway and ensure sizing is correct.
e.g. Length x Width x Average Depth = X +10%
Example: 10m x 5m x 1.5m = 75m3 + 10% = 84m3
Now you know your pool volume we can look at selecting the correct size pump.
Each range of heat pumps has a specification table and it is the ”Pool Volume m3” that is most important as shown in the table below:
You will see that the pool volume m3 listed above has 2 figures provided. Lets take the P26X for example which states 75-130 m3
The lowest figure given (75m3) is giving us the maximum pool size this unit can heat for “all season”.
The highest figure given (130m3) is giving us the maximum pool size this unit can heat in IDEAL summer conditions (27 degrees air temp / 27 degrees water temp)
We do not use the highest figure as the duration of time during the year when we get these conditions is minimal. So we look at the halfway point between the lowest & highest figures which gives us the maximum pool volume for a standard summer season (April – Sept)
Lets use the example of the 84m3 pool we have shown above.
For an “All Season” heat pump the P26X model in the table is not big enough. The max pool volume for “all season” is only 75m3 so we will need to go for a larger unit.
For a summer season model (Apr – Sept) the P26X has a halfway point of 102.5m3. So this unit has the capacity you require.

How to measure the flow rate:
- Volume of water collected = 10 litres
- SI Unit - m3/s
- Conversion factor (to m3/h)
- 1 litre per second = 3.6m3/h
- 1 litre per minute = 0.06m3/h
- 1 GPM = 0.22m3/h

- Use glue specifically for pressure PVC.
- Use sufficient Teflon tape on the thread seals. Wind the tape around the fittings clockwise.
- It is preferable to use plastic couplings for plastic (not steel or brass couplings).
- Place the pump as close to the water source as possible.
- It is good practise to use a pre-filter and, depending on the application, a filter at discharge
- The suction pipe should be air-tight. If there is a leak anywhere, the pump will take in air causing the water to drop.
- A pump can be damaged by frost, even if it is light frost, so please store the pump indoors or make sure the pump cannot freeze up after every sprinkling season.
- Fill the pump casing with water via the plug at the top of the pump.
- Make sure that the pump can discharge water through the discharge.
- Briefly switch on the pump, but make sure you do not leave it to operate too long without water. Repeat the steps above until you get water.
- It is preferable to repeat these steps a few times rather than to allow the pump to operate without water for any length of time.
- If you aren’t getting any water, there is probably a leak in the inlet.
- Check all the joins or re-connect them and repeat the steps above.
- If you are getting water, make sure the taps are open so the pump does not overheat.
- Fill the pump casing with water (in that case, you fill the whole suction pipe immediately).
- Make sure that the pump can discharge water through the outlet
- Switch on the pump.
- Are you getting any water? If you are getting water, make sure the taps are open so the pump does not overheat.
