About our irrigation specialist - Harm de Visser
Harm spends time on the front line, day in day out. He receives countless irrigation queries from international colleagues, which were originally posed by their customers. He deals with issues relating to irrigation. Regardless of whether it relates to the irrigation of several hectares of a major potato grower’s land, a new sprinkler system for an arable farmer, or a watering system for a tree nursery.
Harm devises a plan to supply these customers with the most efficient system possible. He spars with his colleagues about the idea. He checks out the site to establish whether the plan is feasible. He then contacts the appropriate Bosta employees, suppliers and installers to get to work on the project. Harm remains involved until the very end. And he is not satisfied until the customer actually achieves greater yields or improved performance.
Harm's expertise
Green fingers
As he has various relatives engaged in arable farming, Harm is all too aware of the importance of proper irrigation. Green fingers are part of his DNA. He developed an affinity with nature and the environment as a junior member of the nature conservancy association, and later when working at a lily nursery. That was where the seed was planted for Harm’s irrigation expertise.
Minimal waste of water
The seed germinated in sales and managerial positions at garden centres, including the gardening department at Karwei DIY store, and later at Bosta and MegaGroup. At home, too, Harm pursues his passion. He considers it a sport to use as little water as possible. For instance, he has fitted equipment including a solar water heater and a wastewater system that reuses rainwater.
Many years of experience
Harm has been employed at Bosta since 2007, and MegaGroup since 2015.
His mission? To make the connection between the right players. To offer you the best possible support, while increasing both productivity and yield.
