What size filter do I need?
Ensure that the pump flow rate is not greater than the filter capacity.
If your pump is too powerful it will force the water through the media and the filter will not work effectively. This will also increase operating pressure.
Choosing a filter one size larger than you need is often a good idea, providing a more effective filtration.
