How to measure the flow rate: 

  • Volume of water collected = 10 litres 
      Time taken to collect = 10 seconds 
      Flow rate  = 10/10 = 1 litre per measure = 3.6m3/h 

  • SI Unit - m3/s 
  • Conversion factor (to m3/h) 
  • 1 litre per second = 3.6m3/h 
  • 1 litre per minute = 0.06m3/h 
  • 1 GPM = 0.22m3/h
