Engineered for accuracy, built to last

A MixRite uses the flow of water through the line as its only power source, delivering reliable, repeatable dosing without electricity or batteries.

Water-powered

No electricity, batteries or wiring required. Water flow powers the dosing piston.

Proportional dosing

The dosing ratio automatically follows the water flow, maintaining a consistent concentration.

Easy to service

Replaceable seal kits and a simple hydraulic design minimise maintenance and downtime.

Chemical options

NBR, EPDM and PVDF versions are available for different chemicals and applications.

Adjustable rate

Select the required dosing ratio from 0.2% up to 4%, depending on the model.

Complete in the box

Supplied with a suction tube, mounting bracket, support legs, seal kit and installation manual.

One simple principle, perfect dosing

As water flows through the MixRite, it powers a piston that draws additive from your stock solution and injects it proportionally into the line. The result is a consistent concentration at any flow rate — no power, no calibration drift.

● Installs in-line, dual, or with a manual / controlled by-pass
● Dosing stays proportional even as demand changes
● Standard hydraulic On/Off operation across the range

Standard inline installation — 7-step guide

MixRite™ is a plug-and-play unit supplied with installation instructions. The 7-component sequence below represents the recommended setup for reliable, safe operation across all applications.

1
Main valve
Install an upstream isolation valve to allow maintenance without draining the entire system.
2
Filter 130 μm
Install a 120 mesh (130 micron) filter before the dosing pump to protect internal components.
3
Back-flow preventer
Prevents additive concentrate from siphoning back into the water supply line.
4
Pressure regulator
Recommended for installations operating above 8 bar to protect the dosing pump.
5
Pressure gauge
Verify operating pressure remains within the recommended range and monitor system performance.
6
Anti-siphon valve
Required when the concentrate tank is located above the pump or siphoning may occur.
7
Operation valve
Downstream isolation valve allowing the dosing function to be stopped independently.

No specialist contractor needed

Installation instructions are included with every MixRite™ unit. The pump uses standard BSP, NPT or compression fittings, making integration with existing irrigation and water distribution systems straightforward.

Minimum pressure 0.2 bar

MixRite™ pumps require a minimum operating pressure of 0.2 bar. Do not install pressure-reducing valves below this threshold and verify system pressure before commissioning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Selection depends on three primary parameters: (1) the water flow rate in your supply line — match this to the model's flow rate range (e.g. TF5 for 100–5,000 l/h; TF25 for very large lines up to 25,000 l/h); (2) the required dosage percentage — choose the variant with the appropriate dosage range; (3) the chemical nature of the additive — standard PP+FG body for most fertilisers, vitamins and disinfectants; PVDF body when acid concentration exceeds 6%. For livestock applications, always select PO-coded (EPDM seal) variants for compatibility with medications. Contact Bosta's technical team for application-specific advice.
The PO (Poultry) variant uses EPDM seals, making it suitable for continuous contact with medications, vitamins, disinfectants and vaccines dosed via livestock drinking water. It is identified by a red spindle. Standard seals are Viton-based.
No — this is the fundamental engineering advantage of the MixRite proportional mechanism over Venturi injectors and simple electric dosing pumps. The injection ratio is hydraulically determined: for each volume of water that passes through the pump, a fixed proportional volume of additive is injected. This ratio remains constant across the full operating pressure range specified for each model (0.2–8 bar for the 2.5/3.5 series; 1–8 bar for the TF5/TF10/TF25 series). Pressure and flow variations within those limits do not affect dosing accuracy.
Yes, with the correct variant. For acid concentrations in the stock solution up to approximately 6%, the standard CL or PVDF variants with Hastelloy springs and AFLAS seals are appropriate. For concentrations above 6%, Tefen specifically recommends the PVDF-body models (PVDF pump housing + AFLAS seals + Hastelloy spring). These are available in the 2.5 and 3.5 series. Phosphoric acid, nitric acid and sulphuric acid are among the typical acids handled. Always verify the chemical compatibility for your specific acid formulation with Bosta's technical team before installation.
Yes — this is one of the key design characteristics of the entire MixRite range. Because the pump is driven entirely by the water pressure in the supply line, no electrical connection, battery or controller is required at the installation point. This makes MixRite pumps particularly suitable for remote agricultural fields, off-grid livestock buildings, rural water treatment installations and emergency water disinfection in areas without reliable power supply. The pump can be installed directly on the water line or mounted on the chemical container.
The On/Off system allows the suction operation of the pump to be stopped while water continues to flow through the main line. This is useful when dosing is required only at scheduled intervals, or when the pump must be bypassed without shutting down the entire water supply. Tefen offers three On/Off control types: Manual (direct valve on the pump), Hydraulic (pressure-activated) and Electric (solenoid-controlled). The standard "Air Release" model operates without an On/Off system — it continuously doses whenever water flows. On/Off models are available across the 2.5, 3.5, TF5, TF10 and TF25 series.
