Agricultural irrigation hoses for water delivery

Agricultural irrigation hoses provide flexible routes for moving water through irrigation installations. Hose groups cover PVC garden hoses, spiral PVC suction hoses, layflat irrigation hoses and agricultural rubber hoses. Different constructions, dimensions, coil lengths and pressure ratings allow each hose to be matched to its intended position within an agricultural hose system.

Available materials include PVC, PE, NBR/PVC and EPDM. Individual hoses are supplied in different colours and configurations, including spiral suction hose, flat hose and conventional round hose. Some PVC irrigation hoses are also identified as phthalate-free. Compare the stated material, internal and external dimensions, length and pressure rating before ordering.

Layflat irrigation hoses

Layflat irrigation hoses include PVC, NBR/PVC and PE constructions. Examples include blue medium-duty PVC flat hose, black NBR/PVC flat hose and white PE flat hose with a start connector. Listed configurations cover different diameters, lengths and pressure ratings, including 51 mm PVC hose rated at 8 bar, 76 mm NBR/PVC hose rated at 16 bar and 76 mm PE hose rated at 2 bar.

Select an irrigation layflat hose by checking the diameter and pressure requirements of the installation. Coil length is also important when planning a water delivery route. Matching the hose dimensions to the associated connection components helps prevent incompatibility between the hose and its fittings.

Spiral suction hoses for irrigation

Agricultural suction hoses are available as spiral PVC hoses in green, bright green and blue-grey configurations. The spiral suction hose models cover multiple variants, with examples including 51 mm by 58 mm and 76 mm by 89.4 mm dimensions. Stated pressure ratings differ between models, so the exact specification must be checked for the intended suction duty.

When choosing a suction hose for irrigation, match both hose dimensions to the required connection. The length of the hose run and the stated pressure values should also correspond with the planned installation. Colour and model name can help distinguish hoses, but sizing and operating data remain the primary selection criteria.

PVC and rubber hose options

PVC garden hoses include yellow, yellow-blue and grey-white configurations. Examples cover 12.5 mm and 19 mm diameters, coil lengths of 25 m and 50 m, and stated pressure ratings from 8 bar to 16 bar. Some models provide several variants, making it important to check the complete dimensions rather than relying on colour alone.

Rubber hoses include EPDM models in black and red. Examples are rated at 20 bar and are supplied in different dimensions and coil lengths. A red NBR/polyester fire hose is also available in multiple variants. Material, pressure rating and dimensions should be checked individually because these values are not shared across every agricultural rubber hose.

Irrigation hose fittings and connections

Layflat fittings support irrigation hose connections using PP compression components. Available fitting forms include sockets, caps, 90° elbows, 90° T-pieces and adaptor sockets. Connection formats cover compression ends as well as compression connections combined with male or female threads.

Some layflat fittings are specified at 51 mm and 10 bar, while a 76 mm compression by 3-inch male-thread adaptor is rated at 6 bar. These examples demonstrate why every fitting must be checked against the selected hose and adjoining threaded component. Confirm the compression size, thread size, thread type and pressure rating before assembling the connection.

Choosing compatible irrigation hose components

Start by identifying whether the installation requires a spiral suction hose, layflat water delivery hose, PVC garden hose or rubber hose. Then compare the supported material, hose dimensions, coil length and stated pressure rating. Where a hose has both internal and external dimensions, use the complete specification to identify a suitable connection.

For layflat systems, decide whether the route needs a straight socket, a capped end, a 90° change of direction or a branch created with a T-piece. Adaptors with male or female threads connect compression fittings to corresponding threaded components. Check that every hose, adaptor and fitting uses compatible dimensions and connection formats throughout the planned route.

Multiple variants are available for many flat, suction, PVC and EPDM hoses. Compare the exact specification of each variant rather than assuming that hoses sharing a model or colour have the same diameter, length or pressure rating. This approach supports accurate ordering for new agricultural irrigation installations and replacement hose connections.
