Brass irrigation fittings for landscape irrigation assemblies

Brass irrigation fittings, irrigation hose fittings and hose installation accessories are used to connect, secure and control hose and pipework in landscape irrigation systems. Typical components include brass hose tail adaptors, brass couplings, quick couplers, click connectors, metal irrigation valves, taps, PVC hoses, hose clamps, pipe fasteners, seals and sealing tape. Select each item by matching the connection format, material and stated product dimensions to the hose or pipe used in the installation.

Hoses and hose connections

For flexible runs, hoses are available in PVC formats, including yellow, yellow/blue and bright green spiral suction hose options. Product details include hose diameters, lengths and pressure ratings on selected hoses, so check those details before pairing a hose with a connector, clamp or valve. Use irrigation hose fittings such as hose tail adaptors and quick couplers where a hose needs to connect to threaded equipment or detachable couplings.

Brass hose tail adaptors and couplings

Brass couplings cover hose tail adaptors, hexagonal adaptors, union adaptors, elbow adaptors, quick couplers and Y-pieces. Connection formats include male thread x hose tail, female thread x hose tail, female threaded nut x hose tail, male thread quick couplers, female thread quick couplers and hose tail quick couplers. Some brass hose tail adaptors and Y-pieces carry a 30 bar rating, while quick couplers are marked 12 bar on selected products.

Valves, taps and flow control components

Metal valves and taps support shut-off and non-return functions in irrigation pipework. Available product types include brass ball valves, bibcock ball valves and brass non-return valves, including spring loaded versions. Threaded connection options include female thread, male thread x hose tail and female thread x male thread. Selected products state pressure ratings including 10 bar, 12 bar, 18 bar and 25 bar, so match the valve rating to the system requirements and connected fittings.

Plastic irrigation connectors and sprayers

Plastic click connectors and sprayers provide PVC-U connection options for hose and pipe installations. Product options include female thread x male click, male thread x male click and compression x female click connectors, with grey and grey/green versions present. One compression x female click connector is available with waterstop. Match click, thread or compression ends carefully so that plastic pipe connectors work with the adjoining hose, tap or fitting.

Fasteners, clamps, adhesives and sealing accessories

Secure hose and pipework with fasteners, adhesives and clamps such as wormdrive hose clips, pipe brackets and cable ties. Hose clamps include stainless steel 304 type W4 and galvanised steel type W1 options. Pipe fasteners include galvanised steel two-piece pipe brackets with female thread, while cable ties are described as nylon 6.6. For threaded or sealed joints, accessories include rubber seals, rubber seals reinforced with nylon and PTFE sealing tape marked DVGW.

Selection considerations for compatible assemblies

Check the whole connection path before selecting irrigation valves and taps, brass couplings or irrigation hose clamps. Match male and female threads, hose tail diameters, compression sizes and click connector ends. Where pressure ratings are given, keep the rating consistent with the hose, fitting and valve used together. For hose ends, pair the correct hose tail with a suitable wormdrive clip and the seal or sealing tape required by the threaded joint.

For landscape irrigation assemblies, combine hoses with the relevant couplings, connectors, valves and fastening accessories. Start with the hose or pipe connection, then select brass or plastic connectors, sealing products and pipe fasteners that match the installation layout and maintenance access.
