Pool piping for swimming pool pipework

Pool piping is used to create, extend or repair swimming pool pipework and pool plumbing systems. The available product groups cover rigid PVC-U pressure pipes, PVC pressure fittings, PVC valves, flexible pool hoses, hose tails and installation accessories. Together, these components support pool water circulation hoses and fixed pipe runs where compatible materials, sizes and connection types are matched correctly.

PVC pressure pipes provide the main rigid pipework option for pool pipe systems. Product titles show PVC-U pressure pipe in grey, with plain and glue socket x plain connection formats. Listed pressure ratings include 7.5 bar, 10 bar, 12.5 bar and 16 bar, with ISO PN10, ISO PN12.5 and ISO PN16 references present on specific products. DIN PN16 is also stated for selected 16 bar pressure pipe.

Pool pipe fittings, valves and hose connections

Pool pipe fittings support changes in direction, branch connections, reductions, terminations and detachable joints. Available PVC-U fitting types include 45° elbows, 90° elbows, T-pieces, sockets, caps, reducer bushes, adaptor bushes, transition sockets and union couplers. Connection descriptions include glue socket, plain, glue spigot, imperial glue socket and male thread, depending on the fitting type.

Metric and imperial formats are both represented. Metric PVC pressure fittings grey suit metric PVC-U pipework, while imperial pressure fittings white support imperial pipe systems. Grey imperial PVC-U fittings are also present, including WRAS-referenced elbows, T-pieces and caps in 16 bar versions. Where metric and imperial components meet, select a transition socket or adaptor bush with connection descriptions that match the adjoining pipework.

Valves are used where flow control is needed within pool plumbing components. Product signals include PVC-U ball valves with glue socket connections and 16 bar ratings. Metric PVC valves and imperial PVC valves are separate product groups, helping installers keep valve sizing consistent with the rest of the pipe system.

Flexible pool hoses and accessories

Flexible pool hoses are available alongside rigid pipework components. Product titles include PVC flat hose in blue, 3 bar, type Light, with multiple variants. Hoses and accessories are relevant where a flexible hose connection is required rather than a fixed PVC-U pipe run. Hose tails and flex fittings provide additional connection options for swimming pool hoses when the stated sizes and connection types match the installation.

Pool hose fittings and fixing accessories help complete the installation. The product cards include stainless steel 304 wormdrive hose clips, PP pipe clamps, pipe clamp extensions, PTFE sealing tape and solvent cleaners. Pipe mounting clips and clamps support neat routing of pipework, while hose clips are used with suitable hose connections. Solvent cleaner products are available for PVC-U/C and ABS as stated in the product titles.

How to select pool pipe systems

Select pool circulation piping by checking four points first: material, size format, connection type and pressure rating. PVC-U pipes and fittings should be matched by metric or imperial sizing, and glue socket or plain ends should be aligned with the required jointing method. For threaded transitions, check whether the component specifies male thread or another connection format.

Pressure ratings should be compared product by product. PVC-U pressure pipes and fittings show ratings such as 7.5 bar, 10 bar, 12.5 bar and 16 bar, but not every component carries the same rating. Do not assume that a pipe, fitting, valve or hose has the same rating as another product group. Check the stated rating on each component before combining products in pool installation pipework.

Colour and standard references can also help with selection where they are stated. Grey PVC-U pressure pipes and grey PVC-U pressure fittings are common in the available product titles, while white imperial pressure fittings are also present. Selected products carry references such as WRAS, ISO PN and DIN PN, and PTFE sealing tape is shown with a DVGW reference. Treat these references as product-specific details rather than general characteristics for all pool pipe accessories.

Related pool plumbing components

For flow control in rigid pipework, compare metric PVC valves with the corresponding imperial valve options. For joint preparation, sealing and pipe support items, glue, sealant and pipe mounting clips can be matched with PVC-U pipework and compatible accessories. Check each product’s material, connection description and size before selecting parts for swimming pool pipework.
