Pool water treatment for controlled swimming pool maintenance

The right choice depends on the treatment method, the required measurement values, the existing control equipment and the connection details of the pool installation.

For routine checks, testing products include test strips, test kits and digital test strip refill packages. Supported measurement references in the product information include pH, free chlorine, bromine, alkalinity, total hardness and cyanic acid values. These products support regular water quality monitoring before adjustments are made with chemicals, dosing equipment or other pool sanitation systems.

Testing, probes and calibration liquids

Pool water testing equipment is used alongside probes and calibration products where more controlled monitoring is required. Available items include pH probes, ORP probes, pH probe and solution sets, ORP sondes, buffer solutions and calibration liquid sets. When selecting probes or calibration liquids, match the measurement type to the control equipment and maintenance routine. A pH probe is not the same as an ORP probe, and calibration liquids should correspond with the probe or test function being maintained. For UV pool disinfection, match the unit to the existing installation by connection type, pressure reference and variant. For replacement parts, check the exact system name and variant before ordering. Salt, cells and chlorinators perform different roles within salt electrolysis systems, so they should not be treated as interchangeable pool maintenance equipment.

Manual chemicals, flocculant and maintenance accessories

Manual chemicals and accessories include pool salt, gel flocculant, calibration fluids and other maintenance items used alongside testing and dosing routines. Jolly gel flocculant and Poolsel salt are examples of manual products within pool chemical treatment. These products are typically selected together with testing products so that water values can be checked before and after maintenance actions.

Practical selection starts with the treatment method: manual chemical dosing, automatic dosing, UV-C disinfection, UV and ozone treatment or salt electrolysis. Then check the measurement requirement, product variant, connection type, pressure reference and compatibility with the existing pool installation.
