Automatic disc filters for water filtration installations

Automatic disc filters are water filtration equipment for filtration systems and water treatment applications. Disc filter units are selected where automatic filtration systems need defined filtration ratings, suitable connection types and compatible control references. Available products include plastic filter options, fibreglass reinforced nylon construction, inline helix filters and screen filter assemblies.

For installations requiring plastic filtration products, plastic automatic disc filters provide a focused material option within automatic disc filtration. Selection should start with the installation requirements, including the pipework connection, filtration rating, pressure reference and electrical control arrangement specified for the filter unit.

Filter types and construction details

Specified automatic disc filters include inline helix filter units and screen filter assemblies. Available product types include fibreglass reinforced nylon construction and black filter units. These details are useful when matching automatic water filters to existing filtration equipment, especially where material type and installation format must remain consistent across the system.

The Tavlit Screen filter type TAD is specified with fibreglass reinforced nylon, flange connection, 10 bar reference, 100 micron disc filtration and a 9-12 VDC latch version. This makes it relevant for projects where flange connection and control voltage must be checked before specification.

Connection options for inline disc filtration

Connection type is a key selection point for automatic filtration systems. Available options include flange connections and Victaulic connections. The chosen disc filter assembly should be matched to the pipework, manifold or connected filtration equipment already planned for the installation.

The Azud inline helix filter with Victaulic connection is specified with fibreglass reinforced nylon, 10 bar reference, 130 micron disc filtration and 230 VAC. A separate Azud inline helix filter with flange connection is also available, giving a flange-connected option for automatic disc filter installations.

Micron rating, pressure reference and control voltage

Automatic disc filters should be selected by checking the filtration rating stated for the unit. The correct choice depends on the filtration requirement of the water treatment application and the compatibility of the filter unit with the wider automatic filtration system.

Pressure references are also important. The specified products include 10 bar references, with PN10 also stated on the screen filter data. These values should be checked against the pressure conditions and connected components in the installation. Voltages such as 9-12 VDC latch and 230 VAC should be matched to the control arrangement before ordering automatic filter components.

Selecting disc filter units for automatic filtration systems

Select automatic disc filters by comparing material, connection type, micron rating, pressure reference, control voltage and variant availability. Inline disc filtration and screen filter assemblies may suit different installation layouts, so the product format should be aligned with the pipework route and the type of connection required.

Disc filter assemblies are part of wider industrial filtration solutions, so compatibility with existing water filtration equipment is essential. Check whether a flange or Victaulic connection is required, confirm the stated filtration rating and verify the electrical reference before selecting the unit. This helps maintain a consistent specification across filtration systems and water treatment applications.
