Pool equipment for pool installations

Pool equipment covers the components used to build, connect and maintain swimming pool systems, from pool pumps and pool filtration systems to pool heating systems, cleaning tools, showers, lighting, water treatment and pipework. Product groups support installation and maintenance tasks where circulation, filtration, plumbing connections and routine cleaning need to be matched with the correct pool plumbing components.

Select pool pumps alongside pool filtration systems when specifying equipment for new installations or replacements. Pool heating systems are grouped separately for projects requiring heating equipment, while pool lighting and pool showers provide additional installation options where required.

Pool piping systems and plumbing components

Pool piping systems include PVC-U pressure pipe, PVC pool hose and supporting fittings. PVC-U pressure pipe is specified with glue socket x plain and plain options, plus pressure ratings such as 10 bar, 12.5 bar and 16 bar. Some PVC-U pressure pipe entries reference ISO PN10, ISO PN12.5 and ISO PN16, with one 16 bar option also marked DIN PN16.

Pool hose options include grey Poolflex PVC hose and white Flexiclor PVC hose, with 6 bar and 4 bar ratings on relevant products. Select hose and pressure pipe by matching the pipe or hose dimensions, connection type, length and pressure rating to the adjoining fittings and installation layout.

For pipe support and connection work, pool piping systems cover components such as PP pipe clamps, pipe clamp extensions, PVC-U elbows, reducer bushes, sockets, union couplers, T-pieces, reducer T-pieces, hose tail adaptors, union adaptors, ball valves and non-return valves. Confirm glue socket, glue spigot, plain end, male thread, female thread or hose tail connections before selecting a component.

Fittings, valves and connection choices

PVC-U fittings are used to form bends, branches, reductions and detachable joints in pool pipework. Elbow 45° and elbow 90° options support direction changes, T-pieces and reducer T-pieces support branch connections, and reducer bushes help connect different dimensions where the listed connection types match.

Ball valves and non-return valves are specified with PVC-U glue socket connections and 16 bar ratings on relevant products. Union couplers and union adaptors suit applications where a joint may need to be separated or where glue socket and male thread connections need to be combined. Hose tail adaptors connect suitable hose tails to compatible spigots.

Cleaning, maintenance and water management

Pool cleaning equipment covers brushes, scrub pads, leaf skimmers, telescope poles and pool cleaner products. These pool maintenance products support manual cleaning tasks and routine debris removal. Select pool cleaning equipment by the task, tool type and compatibility with existing poles or accessories where applicable.

Pool water treatment is a separate product group for water management requirements. When specifying pool water treatment with pumps, filtration and piping components, check that each product is suited to the wider pool system and follows the relevant product instructions.

Selection considerations for pool equipment

Start by identifying the installation task: circulation, filtration, heating, cleaning, lighting, shower installation, water treatment or pipework. For plumbing components, confirm material, pressure rating, dimensions and connection type. For PVC-U glue socket fittings and pipe, compatible solvent cleaner and PVC glue products are also present, including a PVC glue identified with WRAS and type WDF-05.

Compare pool heating systems, pool lighting and pool showers according to the wider installation requirement. Matching related products before ordering is important where PVC-U pipe, flexible pool hose, valves and adaptors are combined in the same pool piping system.
